![]() The original watches were used by pilots and soldiers in the Czechoslovakian armed forces during WWII and are commonly known as the “Majetek”. Some, but not all of the original military issued watches also had a small set of crossed daggers engraved into one lug of the case. Some of the original 1939 models were engraved “Majetek Vojenské Správy,” which translated is roughly “military property”. The originals still attract a great interest from collectors, which is why the company reissued it! In approximately 1939 the Czechoslovak authorities approached Eterna, as military pilots needed a wristwatch made to precise specifications.
